Directed by David Zucker and starring the inimitable Leslie Nielsen, this 1988 classic redefined spoof cinema with an unapologetically ridiculous, rapid-fire approach to humor that still holds up over three decades later. Nielsen plays Lt. Frank Drebin, a well-meaning but blissfully incompetent detective who somehow stumbles his way through a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II. Plot, however, is hardly the point here. The real genius lies in how the film weaponizes every second of screen time with visual gags, double entendres, and surreal non sequiturs. You dont often get Movies that funny as this one, this is by far one of the most hilarious movies I have ever watched, great Jokes and overall a really good Movie as well, im now even more excited for the new one.
