Episode 1 technical and scientific plausibility issues and very much Aliens shoe in and derivative 'sleep,' solution from Best of both worlds, originality 1/5. Episode 2 Squire of Gothos + This side of paradise+ What are little girls made of mashup, originality 0/5. Also terrible Spock characterisation and the whole core Trelane premise lost from original. Episode 3 Living Dead in space originality 2/5. The Doctor thread was the better part, but the sneaking about in the contrived planetary ring was implausible in the Trek setting. The girlfriend is dying is being drawn out. Erica is losing it is nobody noticing? Number ones hair was my high point. It's a really mixed bag this season so far. I end up saying things out loud while watching, which is never a good sign.

It is so well done, it is like you are watching a movie. It will have you laughing, crying, bitting your nails and then pumping your fists in the air shouting “YES!”. I love these actors, writers, producers, and special effects department. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This show and season seems to be sliding in the same direction Discovery did beginning in season 3. Which isn't a good thing IMO. Cut the bland melodrama
