Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com For being an ostensible sequel, “Ice Road: Vengeance” features zero ice roads. In fact, writer-director Jonathan Hensleigh’s follow-up barely stands apart from any of the other baker’s dozen punch-em-ups Neeson has led in the last decade. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 5, 2025 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Destined to be quickly forgotten even by fans of its predecessor, Ice Road: Vengeance proves as generic as its title. Jun 26, 2025 Full Review Christian Zilko IndieWire The film’s existence seems to rely on a bet that someone out there was dying to see a few more minutes of Gurty flashbacks. If that’s you, you’re in for a great weekend at the movies. Rated: C Jun 26, 2025 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate While Chinese star Fan Bingbing is a fierce kickass foil for grizzled Liam Neeson, this isn't really a sequel - and the highly touted 'ice' is in short supply, even in the Himalayas. Rated: 5/10 Jul 29, 2025 Full Review Kent Hill Film Threat Ice Road: Vengeance hits all the beats of a standard action movie as subtly as an out-of-control vehicle tumbles down a precipitous incline before crashing and bursting into flames. Rated: 3/10 Jul 16, 2025 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X A sturdy action vehicle (pardon the pun) with expert leads and some breathtaking scenery. Jeepers C It wasn't Liam's best, but still entertaining. The 1st Iceroad was 100% better then this movie. If you're going to name your movie Iceroad vengeance, then it should have had some Iceroads in it. Worth a watch, but nothing to brag about. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Audience Member This is the stupidest movie I have seen in the past decade. Had to stop watching hlfway into the movie as my brain couldn't handle the cringe. Also, signed up rotten tomatoes just to save others from this garbage. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Ralph R Ice Road Vengeance takes whatever traction the first film had and throws it in the ditch. The plot is thin as ice (ironically, since there’s barely any actual ice this time), and the action feels forced, like someone said, "Hey, let's throw in a random fight here," and nobody questioned it. There's almost zero direction, it’s as if scenes were glued together without a plan. You keep waiting for the story to pick up, for the characters to evolve, for something to matter… but nah. Jonathan Hensleigh clearly forgot the concept of buildup, especially for the new characters who show up, do a thing, and disappear with no weight. Even Liam Neeson, who normally has enough screen presence to salvage weak material, looks like he’s on autopilot. You can tell he tried, but this isn’t a one-man show, and he’s given nothing to work with. Honestly, they could’ve called it Flop: Vengeance and saved people the confusion. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Jeremy W Yeah, it's Adventure-lite, but still it's good, forgettable fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/21/25 Full Review P M Whoever gave this film a bad review doesn't want to have fun. It's a typical Liam movie, like Jason Statham's. They both have made 20 movies and they're all the same, and all excellent. This one is no different. A few plot holes and a few glitches but excellent acting (from new actors) and a great action movie to enjoy. Recommended! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/19/25 Full Review Hani A Worst movie ever. Don't watch. I am a big fan of Liam Nesson but this movie will go down as his worst movie ever. At least they could have filmed the movie in Nepal and not Australia or use Nepalese actors and not indians. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
