Critics Consensus

Marred by goofy attempts at wit, subpar acting, and bland storytelling, Fantastic Four is a mediocre attempt to bring Marvel's oldest hero team to the big screen.

Rated: 2/5 Jul 30, 2025 Full Review John Stark Mac the Movie Guy A couple of strong casting choices, a simple and complete origin story paced well, and a feeling of exuberance keep the first take on the Fantastic Four a notch above the rest. Rated: 71/100 Jul 29, 2025 Full Review Lady Jenevia LadyJenevia (YouTube) Fantastic Four delivers whimsical banter and a sincere exploration of the relationships within a Found Family forged by extraordinary circumstances. Moreover, the late great Julian McMahon’s performance further elevates the film’s dramatic calibre. Jul 24, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

2.6 idc I think it’s a good movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/25 Full Review Jelisije J A good introduction to marvel first family that tells their origin story fairly well and the relationships between the family is what keeps this movie together. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Alex O. Chris Evans saves this from being a 2/5 movie. Fun to watch. Sue and Reed are very bland aside from comedic moments. This is a classic early 2000s superhero movie. I think the poor acting hurt it a ton and The Thing is honestly so annoying to look at. After rewatching recently I remember why I never liked these as a kid - I never felt much for the actual heros except The Thing but man the costume is simply hideous. Good prequel for the new 2025 version tbh. Doom is ok. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Rohaan P The movie features some humorous scenes and is action-packed. It's really fun to watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Gail M Wanted my money back even though I didn't pay for my ticket. I have one word to describe this movie, "BORING!". Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/28/25 Full Review Fatih K I wached this fanstasic four ages ago and it was maybe the first time I saw an action hero film. I had good memories about it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/27/25 Full Review Read all reviews
