28 Years Later Reviews
The wackiest zombie escapade of the 2020s and chock full of zombie high-jinx! Couldn’t stop laughing! :)
One of the best horror movie in the last years, love it ♥️
The movie started off ok and could have ended at a few parts and still been ok BUT it come going and going. It became cheesy and ridiculous and by the end of it I was sorry I watched it.
Loved everything about it. Honestly, didn’t see being moved by a zombie type flick coming. Must see.
Very different editing style, but not in a good way. It may induce tension and suspense, but I didn't like it. Unnecessarily confusing, chaotic, and overlapping of scenes. The background music also doesn't really blend in at times. Just a wasted opportunity.
The way I how judge a movie is partly based on if I would ever watch it again. I would not watch this movie again. Typically Danny Boyle makes movies with decent plots but 28 Years was not worth the hype. Like most people said the 1st half was decent however the 2nd half after they go back to the mainland the plot kinda went all over the place with no direction... And then the lame ending, like what was that all about? It obviously set up for a sequel but it was just lame. Can't believe it took them 18 years to make this, they could have made this 17 years ago.
The way they shot this film was unbearable to watch
Really disappointed. Horribly forced editing and directing with enough “wait, what, why?” monuments to make me care about zero percent.
28 years later is average at best. There are some good things in it. The story is a small family drama with some elements of horror. Great acting, even the young actor. But we barely feel anything for the isolated island occupants. There is a quarantine, and we don't see it, don't really feel it. The ragers a bit more nuance to them but they were more cannon fodder then anything. Quite frankly, it would have been more interesting to find out how the rest of Europe was able to isolate the contagion to Britain. Or to find out how that isolated island came to be, then having this movie. I give it 55%, but overall it was a boring moving that had some moments in it.
Disjointed pointless mess of a movie. What a joke
Well... yes the gore and violence is as bad as you would think and maybe a little more. But you literally cannot focus on anything but the dicks. Big, little, squished, muddy, big o'flangalangalgangin dicks. Just sooooo soooooo soooooooooooooooooooooo many dicks. I couldn't focus on ANYTHING happening because literally every other shot featured a big ol dick. Swing em high swing em low but do not watch this movie unless you really like big ol muddy dicks.
felt great with the opening act. once the crazy journey to the doctor begins i felt really weird about the progression of the movie. tone shift felt insane to me. i felt really baited by the trailer to watch the movie. by the end definitely felt weird, disappointed.
Good start but it gets hyperbolically bad very quickly. The son is a good actor but the writing is terrible and it makes it very hard to root for him as the protagonist. It’s a good movie if you want some thrills and scares or if you want to be angry for 2 hours at the disappointing waste of time.
Danny Boyle is fantastic 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 also greatest soundtrack I've heard in a decade!
good and unique story, but the camera shots are headache soecially zoom shots and panning shots very jittery, i know its iphone shots but not forgivable, and the ending part is kinda boring and weird., the zombie character the fat ones are boring..
Another franchise destroyed. Why honor the first 2 great movies when we can make a modern zombie movie for a modern audience by modern Hollywood. First half is ok but still inferior to previous movies. The last hour is the most disappointing hour of entertainment since the end of Game of Thrones
Yet another virus/zombie movie, you've seen one, you've seen them all! PASS
Jesus um… that ending compare to the rest of the tone of the movie? had a good start and edge of the seat sequences but it really went downhill overtime
Sat through 20 minutes of this pointless production. Shoot the infected as right of passage... "good lad"! Felt a bit infected watching this.
Disappointing. The first two 28s are classic. For a zombie apocalypse to work at any level, there needs to be an outbreak, a rupture between the world we know and the chaos of sudden disaster, a relevance to the everyday fear of a broken world. Here, there is nothing but a telenovela but without the charm. Danny Boyle's imagery is forced, the plot is plotless and the entire exercise is irrelevant and empty, boring and pretentious.
