Final Destination Bloodlines Reviews

Final Destination: Bloodlines just lets loose and has the best time. A very fulfilling movie-going experience.

Full Review | Jul 23, 2025

A bloody, bonkers, thrill-ride from start to finish, Final Destination: Bloodlines has everything fans have come to love from the iconic horror series, while exploring new avenues that pack a stronger emotional punch than ever before.

The deaths are nicely spaced out, with a couple of fakeouts thrown in for good measure. It’s like Death wants to primarily entertain us while he tracks down those who have wrongfully escaped his grasp.

It's certainly not going to be to everyone's tastes, but for the audience it's targeting, the one that's been enjoying the franchise's insanity for the last 25 years, it gives them exactly what they want, with plenty of gusto to spare.

Final Destination Bloodlines is everything: intense, hilarious, nostalgic, and absolutely unrelenting. Whether you’re a longtime follower or just ready to see why everyone’s scared of log trucks, Bloodlines delivers the goods.

Bloodlines is a product of its predecessors. Its messaging suggests what many feel about living in a reality following the fall of the World Trade Center and the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A true to formula outing invigorated by a perfect blend of self awareness, tongue in cheek plotting, and over the top cartoonish blood splattering gore. If you’re going to make an unnecessary “Final Destination,” this is honestly how it should be done.

This is a horror franchise reawakening that is both properly reverent and excitingly fresh

Full Review | Original Score: 6/10 | Jul 14, 2025

Bloodlines introduces an interesting wrinkle to the usual chain reaction shenanigans; not only will Death go after your ass for escaping, but he'll hunt down any offspring resulting from your survival.

Even with its flaws, Final Destination: Bloodlines feels like a breath of fresh air for a genre that’s been dominated by the rise of ‘elevated horror’.

After a wonderfully staged opening sequence, Lipovsky & Stein weave some fantastically wicked humor along with the carnage. It may not end as well as it begins, but the ride is fun, Richard Harmon is a hoot and Tony Todd gets a lovely sendoff.

Bloodlines is a worthy franchise entry, continuing to hone its dark humor to a fine point, like a very sharp thing that’ll pierce a very soft part of the human body, killing it instantly, if the conditions are just right.

I can’t think of many franchises with such a strong sixth entry and it’s a testament to Bloodlines’ successful mix of legacy honouring and lore advancement that it breathes new life into the Final Destination world.

Arriving a decade after the last one and yet somehow right on time, Final Destination: Bloodlines is the gore-soaked antidote to a strain of self-serious art-house horror that was tedious when it began and has only become more naval-gazing since.

Final Destination: Bloodlines puts its foot on the gas from minute one and doesn’t let up until you’ve laughed, cried, cheered, and cringed yourself silly.

The result is a slick, ghoulishly entertaining reboot.

This is also the series at its best ... [T]he Bloodlines filmmakers have found a way to reinvent the Final Destination wheel — and then promptly crush someone’s head with it.

Bloodlines reminds us why we both love and are traumatized by the franchise. The change in formula is refreshing and characters are a lot of fun. Very entertaining entry.

The death scenes are just as satisfying as any entry in the series but it's the storyline here that carries this film and separates it from the other films in the series. This is the film lovers of the franchise have been waiting for.

Possibly the most well rounded film in the franchise. It finds a clever way to expand the lore, delivers memorable kills, makes you laugh, and actually gets you invested in the characters.
