Isa B Uninteresting. Predictable. This film suffers from a weak plot. Not even the great Bill Murray could save the day on this one. Having said that, it isn't horrible or anything. It just isn't very good. Sofia Coppola can obviously do much better. Most of this film is people saying hello and goodbye because Coppola can't lead an intriguing narrative in its most basic form. Bill Murray's pretty good but when it comes to sincere emotion he can't do it. He's never been able to show true emotion on film and in this one you can't help but think he's mocking the scene. Marlon Wayans is miscast (but Coppola's character for him is 2 dimensional). The best thing about this is Rashida Jones. Not a great film. If her last name wasn't Coppola, this script would be sitting in a file on a computer lucky to be read by more than friend. Which means...it tends to be mundane and boring. In the real world, there would have probably more negative fallout between the couple over the issues that caused the misunderstanding and lingering hurt feelings of neglect, betrayal and lack of communication but in all, this was a G-rated slice of a very tame lie.
