Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician's estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.

Do you like cop movies? Do you like guns that sound way cooler than they do in real life? Do you like well choreographed, over the top, and very bloody shootouts? Ignore the negative reviews and look no further than this movie. Cracking stuff.

The movie relies too much on thriller drama, similar to The Raid 2, but it never hits the same the same mark, and it has a considerable amount of generic shootouts. Nevertheless, there's still the marks of Gareth Evans great direction and high stakes.

Pretty bad lol. The action isn't done well enough to overcome how ridiculous it is. And there's basically no plot, the plot that is there is just a vehicle to carry us from scene to scene where people get shot 20-30 times each. And Tom Hardy hasn't gotten any better at American accents lol.

Fantastic cast! A bit confusing especially in the first half. The story is given in small drips but eventually it makes sense. Loads of shooting and *fantastic* hand to hand combat. Skip to the half way point if you just want the good non-stop action. But worth watching the whole thing. Maybe just skip the truck chase scene in the beginning. Just don't expect an amazing or fresh story. It's pretty basic script-wise. But enjoyable.
