Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) Friendship approaches male friendship in an off-beat and cringe but very funny way. Rated: 3/5 Jul 28, 2025 Full Review Kevin Maher The Times (UK) Emotionally desolate, but hilarious. Rated: 4/5 Jul 22, 2025 Full Review Jonathan Romney Financial Times If Robinson didn’t so completely inhabit Craig’s awfulness — and if the film didn’t unmask so many supposedly well-balanced other characters as themselves irredeemable — Friendship would seem unutterably cruel. Rated: 3/5 Jul 19, 2025 Full Review Marissa Hill Shade Studios Friendship isn’t for everyone—its cringe factor and erratic pacing will alienate some—but for fans of Robinson’s abrasive humor, it’s a revelation. Jul 30, 2025 Full Review Guillermo Troncoso Screen Realm Friendship won’t be for everyone ... But for those on its wavelength, like I found myself to be, it’s both an amusing descent into madness and a weirdly moving portrait of one man’s doomed search for connection. Rated: 4/5 Jul 26, 2025 Full Review Charlotte Simmons The Treatment (Substack) Friendship, then, is this monolithic manifestation of narcissism. Not as a trait, but as an entity that influences susceptible men like Craig Jul 23, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Damien S Like the show I Think You Should Leave, I think this movie is a breather. It will without a doubt take on more meaning upon several viewings. From the initial, however, you get alternative comedy at its finest from the maestro Tim Robinson and some of the most cringiest moments for comic relief. Worth the watch, Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Ruben Thought it was going to be deadpan comedy. Turned out to be just weird. Laughed at a couple things, but cringed at most. Maybe it was too deadpan for me. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/13/25 Full Review Sleepyboots Funny and worth a watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Jason Not worth price of admission Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/29/25 Full Review Joseph K One of the funniest - and saddest - movies I’ve ever seen. Cleverly written and perfectly acted. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Pedro funny and smarter than it has any right to be. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/26/25 Full Review Read all reviews
